Lockdown life experience as Prison

While you are somewhere in some time you will have life experience in diffident situations. People are struggling their lifetime in order to get better live, freedom and enough time space to work. Here I wrote a piece of my life experience in the case of study in a foreign country. My first flight was  28th November 2019 from Mogadishu(Somalia) to Trieste(Italy) and was long around 21 hours trip, during the flight I have being transit in Djibouti 50 minutes while the plane resting on there were another people joined us in the move and my first transfer destination was Hamad International Airport(Doha-QR). I was being there another one hour and I joined a new flight with around 250 people at that time I saw more people wearing the face mask and I do not have any idea about that, I was thinking it was like the one I have. For me, I have a sleeping blindfold and I wear it for just napping during the fight. In 29th November 2019 at 5:55 I have arrived Fiumicino Aeroporto (Roma) although I had another flight at 13:30 for the same day to my final destination Trieste (FVG).

After two months of Accommodation and documentations I started my master at Università Degli Studi di Trieste my first-class was 17th February 2020 and after only one week of going to the University in 23rd February, it was released new regional decrees towards new measures of Coronavirus. The measurements were too tight and everything was closed only it was allowed dry food sellers with special guidance and requirements. I was worried about what the situation will be and how I fix all the issues around me like food shopping, study etc. In 11th March 2020, all Italy became red zone with very restricted measures of the new Covid19 and new deaths was toll day after day and no one was allowed to go out unless health and food. That time I remembered when I was in the move the people whose wearing face mask that they knew something about this new Covid19 and since my arrival, the virus was spreading.

Around four months of staying at home in June 2020 it was allowed to go out and the authorities relaxed the measures of some important activities but I was adopted staying at home when I tried to go out I saw going back home soon, because I had experienced praying, studying, reading, cooking and cleaning at home. In this life familiarity due to the new Covid19 looks like life in the prison even though I did not go through the real-life of the jail but I thought it is quite harder this lockdown. I have realized that life is an experience and everyone’s learning by doing will become its habit. After summer of 2020 I returned University building on 5th October 2020 but unfortunately, after four weeks it was turned into online by the fear of the Covid19 and the first week of November the Italian regions were divided into areas like the red zone, yellow zone and green zone.

Therefore, day after day some regions shift to the red zone where all activities were closed. Now I am going to another lockdown while both new case and death Coronavirus go up. I think this coming lockdown will much effect than before because it is too early according to first time and cold weather stated as well.

Bashir's Educational Trip Reflection

Bashir’s Educational Trip to Trieste, Italy It was the 24 th of June 2019 when I graduated from Somali National University, especially in the department of economics with the second class prize. We were 131 students and 27 of us were girls from the faculties of Law, Economics, Agriculture, Education and Veterinary Medicine. When we defended the graduation book, the University hired 4 top students from each college who were hired as assistant lecturers to develop the teaching staff. That day was a special day for me because I had just started my educational journey for a master's degree at the University of Trieste. While I was at the graduation ceremony I felt very happy, the reason that all the guest speakers who attended the ceremony demonstrated their inspiration and promises including the one I came to Italy to prepare for my master's degree at the University of Trieste. The event was attended by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E Mohamed Abdullahi Farm...

Why Still Looters?

To remain unlucky in some circumstances have enough and well encourage in human life but the main problems that face my generation are to end up a whole lifetime with uncertainty. Nowadays being Somali young generation who have a bright future and goodwill has many enemies and looters whose main option is to be superior from others. While our life is short and then we have some pretty dreams in both individual and national level but unfortunately we can’t because of them. Somalia from the colonial era until today we face same challenges from us to us and there were some looters after colony who shaped how we like today, every cycle of strategy they have will worsen than before. Using pillages to handle the generation’s future is the basic rule of these strategies if you address these guys all of them has black dot according to the social norms and still, they did not regret their mistakes in the past. No one born with the idea of mismanagement and corruption but it has been learnt fr...
